Many of us have heard something about yoga, however, we are sure that few have formed a sufficiently complete, and, most importantly, true idea of ​​this teaching. Yoga is not just exercises or meditations; it is a whole worldview and a set of steps on the path to perfecting the body and spirit. This is a whole science about how to bring your body and mind to a new level of development and self-awareness.

In general terms, the following yoga techniques exist that are practiced both sequentially and in parallel:

Firstly, these are the most known asanas, or postures, roughly speaking – exercises aimed at strengthening and improving the body, the work of muscles and the impact on internal organs in order to improve their condition and performance.
Secondly, it is pranayama – that is, breathing practice. In yoga, special attention is paid to the technique of proper breathing. The correctness of the asanas and the overall level of immersion in meditation depend on how correctly we breathe in and out.
By the way, we come to the third point – this, in fact, is meditation. After mastering and correctly performing asanas, as well as an excellent setting of the breathing technique – pranayama, a decent amount of time during yoga is allocated for meditation. Any good mentor in yoga will confirm how important meditations are for liberating the spirit, liberating the body, and gaining control over the senses and mind. During meditation, practices such as concentration and deconcentration, contemplation and detachment are practiced. Meditations help to achieve harmony with your body and thoughts.

How are yoga classes
The minimum time allocated for yoga should be at least 75 minutes. In our yoga studio in Moscow on Maryina Roshcha, the duration of classes for beginners is 1.5 hours. It is recommended to refrain from eating and drinking plenty of water 1.5 hours before class. The stomach should be half empty, as well as the head should be free from heavy, vain and negative thoughts.

Yoga practice in the classroom is built in the “flow” mode. Gymnastic complexes are performed in such a way that all exercises and transitional movements between them are clearly consistent with breathing. This mode allows you to significantly increase the effectiveness of the practice and practically negate the risk of injury. We also use preparatory, built-in and breathing techniques. A huge plus of this technique is that you can start training from almost any initial state.

Asanas complexes work primarily to adapt the practitioner’s mental state to the realities of modern life. This will allow at least to more successfully solve emerging life tasks, calmly and constructively behave in stressful situations. But also, of course, the physical condition is noticeably changing, health is recovering.
